Join Us For Hodinkee Happy Hour In NYC

We're kicking off a new monthly hangout, starting next Thursday at Watches of Switzerland in SoHo. The idea is simple: swing by after work (or before dinner), grab a beer and a slice of pizza, and hang out for a bit. We're keeping things very casual—nothing formal, just a chance to be around some great watches and others in the Hodinkee community.

Editor-in-Chief James Stacey will be there, along with members of the Hodinkee team, so it's a chance to put faces to names, talk watches, or just stop in and say hello. And if you can't make this one, come by the next—we're looking forward to making it a monthly event.

Led by CEO Georges Kern, the private equity-backed company has vaulted itself back into the top 10 Swiss brands by sales, refocusing around heavyweight names in its collection, most notably the Navitimer, Chronomat, and Superocean models. Introducing: The Nodus x 'Beers And Cameras' Obscura – A Watch For Analog Photographers What We Know Do you have a fridge full of Portra 400? If so, Nodus has a new watch for you. Created in collaboration with Beers And Cameras , a photography community and online platform with chapters in several cities around the United States, and dubbed "The Obscura," this new Nodus collab features a newly patented feature called the Exposure Gauge Complication. It allows the bezel and rehaut to gauge exposure following the Sunny 16 rule. We'll get to the novel functionality in a moment, but let's start with the basics. The Obscura is a steel sports watch with a dive-style layout on a 38mm wide case that is 40mm across the bezel, 11.7mm thick, and 47mm lug to lug.
